While the husband's away, the wife will play!

It's official, a new job has taken my husband out of state, and I am left to my own devices.  What is the first thing I do?  Head to the Home Depot to buy supplies!
I decided I must have something to keep me busy so I don't brood over missing him too much, better to have too much to do than not enough, right?
We found the perfect tile during our last trip back to Kansas at our favorite discount building supply store, Farha's!  A great outlet for lots of stuff.  For only $40 we found enough beautiful tile to do both of our bathrooms.  It has been stacked up out on the carport for a couple of months now, and I am ready to get it on the floor.  First, I had to tear out the existing counter and sink, which surprisingly, took a total of only two 20 minute sessions to demolish!  That was easy!
Then as you can see, a little patching and thinking, I painted some of the edges with a brush, and decided that the surface was too rough to look halfway decent with just a paint job, so now I think I will dig out some wall paper I have just sitting in boxes, and use that on the wall.  It is made to look like beadboard, is very thick, and will do a nice job covering the bumps, gaps, and uglies.  So my next job, is to hang a bit of paper, and then I will finish the painting with a roller, and continue from there.  Stay tuned!
